Do you believe in angels?

Hello, bet you didn't expect to see another post from me so soon after the last one eh?

Just wanted to let you know about another one of my fundraising exploits!!!

Check out my angels of hope - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Angels-of-Hope/490513110981929  cute little angel phone charms to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

They are £1.75 each and £1.00 of that goes to Macmillan and the rest covers p+p. I have lots of colours and shapes; teardrop ones, heart shaped ones etc and if you can't see the colour you want then just drop me a message on the page and I'll have a rummage around in my bead box!!

I have also turned some of them into cute little earrings with .925 silver ear wires.
They all come in a pretty organza pouch and are idea for stocking fillers.

Have sold 14 so far and have orders for another 8 - just waiting for the right shade of bead to be delivered!

Will do a very heavy postage discount on multiple purchases but always £1 from each angel goes to Macmillan.
Please pop over and have a look and share the page around. Macmillan are a very worthy cause and help an awful lot of people.
Thank you.

See you again soon xx

Where does the time go............?

Hello, its me again!!
I really wish I knew where the time goes too! There must be a black hole around somewhere that just sucks the hours out of each day!!!!

I had meant to start making regular updates here but I seem to have been so busy doing other stuff that I never got round to it!!

The fundraising is still going on for Macmillan and also the womb cancer research project. As well as the jewellery I sell via my buteartism page on FB, I also sell via Etsy and that money goes direct to the womb cancer research fundraising.

September (and the months leading up to it) was a very busy month for WCSUK, the support group I started on FB. September is the awareness month for womb cancer and we did lots of awareness raising etc so we were very busy.

I'm going to try and post a bit more often her - but don't hold your breath too long!!!

This hen is still clucking!!!!

Wow, can't believe that its been so long since I last post here - July 2011 was the last post!
Been so busy with so many things - making jewellery, raising money for Macmillan and womb cancer research; running the womb cancer support group; being involved with various projects here on the island!!!

It would be nice to report that my health was back to somewhere near 100% but its not, sadly! The treatment (chemo/radiotherapy) has left me with side effects that I won't bore you with; but I tend not to dwell on them and just get on with life and make the most of every day!

So much has happened that I don'treally know where to begin! The fundraising for Macmillan is still on going - so far £500 has been handed over. I am also now raising funds for a womb cancer project so the proceeds from sales of my jewellery are split between the 2.

I've started to make some peach coloured jewellery (peach is the womb cancer awareness ribbon colour) and I also do a few items in other cancer awareness colours!

The support group that I set up on Facebook is still going strong - we now have over 350 likers and are reaching out to women all across the UK. https://www.facebook.com/WombCancerSupportUK

I have also recently become involved with an exciting new project here on Bute, called The Rustle Way Arts & Media Studio, you can find out more about them here https://www.facebook.com/artbute  This is a fantastic community project, aimed at encouraging everyone in the community to explore their creative side and have some fun! Lots of exciting things are being planned so I'm really looking forward to the future here.

Well, this hen sure intends to stay happy!!!! Catch you later! xx
